Fake algebraic riccati equation applied to model predictive control for doubly fed induction generator direct power control

Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Direct Power (DPC) are widely used in Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) applications. However, the context of DPC-based MPC for DFIG, there has been a lack literature focusing on design parameters. In this way, article introduces novel technique designing weighing matrices using Fake Algebraic Riccati Equation (FARE). As FARE is associated with infinite receding horizon, small horizon can be designed without compromising robustness. Furthermore, presents computationally efficient linear state-space model DPC that, when combined design, offers controller low computational cost The proposed theory validated through experimental results under normal operation, variable speed parameter variations.
